Membership
...has it's privileges. Members of the Chiefland Star Party
Group are able to setup on the Observing Field each new moon
weekend and utilize all the facilities and camaraderie of
being together with dozens of astronomers. All
the facilities are open and accessible for several days
surrounding the new moon weekend. Please see the Events / New Moon page for more
details Members wanting to observe outside of these times,
should email John
Novak to make arrangements to have the facilities open
and available. Guest are also welcome to visit and check out
the facilities prior to joining, but please email John Novak prior to
your visit.

The annual fee is $45 for new members and $30 for renewals
and operates on a calendar year basis. There is no
pro-rating or partial year fees. These fees go toward
the maintainance and enhancement of the field and
facilities. All
Renewals must be paid in January. Any
membership fees outside of January will be charged the full
$45.
Chiefland Star Party Group is a group of astronomers and
sky observers, and the field is designated for those
purposes -- general camping and recreation on the field, at
any time, is not a privilege of CSPG Membership.
Memberships paid in November and December will be valid
until the end of the next calendar year.

The CSPG Observation Field and All Facilities (CSPG Site) are privately owned, and every person visiting the CSPG Site is using it at their own risk. The respective CSPG Site owners make every effort to ensure the field and facilities are safe and in good working order, but assume no liability for damages to any person, equipment, animal, vehicle, or any other items brought on to the property. Visitors to the CSPG site waive any rights or claims against CSPG Site owners, agents, vendors, attendees, or visitors.
